| Inspection of the indication point on tire abrasion: |
If a rubber pattern wore down, it will be dangerous for both driving and the braking. For safety, there must be a minimum ditch on a tire. Thus 6 raised points are planted on rubber, called “abrasion pointes”. If a tire abrasion has reached these points, the tire must be changed (it is 1.6m/m from the bottom of ditch to the points).
For safety of high-speed drive (Over 80km/h), the depth of tire ditches should follow the table below:
| Type of Tire |
Ditch (m/m) |
| TB |
3.2 |
| LT |
2.4 |
| PCR.UL |

Outer Tire Inspection: |
A tire must be inspected regularly to see if the fabric layer was partly disposed, wore and tore, cracked or inner-tube injured due to serious abrasion; if so, it must be replaced immediately. Also, foreign objects like pebbles or nails must be removed if found during an inspection. |
 |
| Inner Tube Inspection: |
An inner tube must be checked if it was 10% wider than the unused tubes; in case it was, it must be replaced at once. Also, it should be abandoned if it was wrinkled, maturing, valve-altered or injured. |
 |
| Inner Pressure Inspection: |
Tire or driving safety would be effected if a tire’s inner pressure was not sufficient or too much. Therefore, regular inner pressure inspection should be practiced regularly. Inner pressure inspection should be operated in a room temperature and a pressure gauge can be used for measurement. You can inflate the tire by the standard value of inner-pressure set by CNS or by the notes of individual car/tire makers. |
